Aliker Compton-Phillip

Aliker is Saint Lucian by birth. A graduate of the John Jay College of Criminal Justice, she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Forensic Science – Criminalistics in 2008. Before obtaining her degree, she served at the Ezra Long Laboratory performing clinical lab tests; however, she was driven towards Forensic Science because she recognized the need for restoring hope in the justice system due to many unsolved crimes, where women and children were victims of violent crimes especially those of a sexual nature. 


Mrs. Compton-Phillip has been employed with the Saint Lucia Forensic Science Laboratory for the last 13 years, where she currently serves in the Biology Unit. She conducts the examination and analyses of biological evidence for the identification of Body Fluids (Forensic serology) and also supervises that section. She recently participated in the DNA process validation studies and now performs DNA Analysis on reference samples. She has also served in the Drug Chemistry and Evidence Control Units. She is a member of the International Association of Property and Evidence (IAPE) Inc. Los Angeles, California. Mrs. Compton-Phillip shares her knowledge and experience with stakeholders to ensure best practices and standards are employed for the preservation of biological evidence which directly affects the quality of results generated from physical evidence. 


She loves nature and in her spare time enjoys hiking and the beach, especially snorkeling. She  serves as an Administrator of the Marisule Seventh-day Adventist Church and the Secretary of the Hospitality or the ‘Ushers for Christ’ Ministry. She lives by words of the Apostle Paul “And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men;” Colossians 3:23.
